The Beauly & District Care Project (Beauly Cares) is a charitable organisation that aims to tackle social isolation – widely recognised as causing a range of physical and mental health problems. We do this by providing a range of activities and events for older members of our community. The project encompasses Beauly, Kiltarlity, Kilmorack, Kirkhill and Struy (within the Aird & Loch Ness Ward).
Over the last 5 years we have focused on activities which allow people to; share a meal, be creative, exercise and grow food. The Monday Lunch Club, Men’s Shed, Walking Group and Community Garden are all geared towards meeting up with friends and making new ones.
We also organise an annual Tea Dance, Opens Days at the Community Garden and the Men’s Shed. Speakers are invited to come and share information about issues of interest during the year.
Transport can be arranged for those that would otherwise not be able to attend the Monday Lunch Club and the Senior Citizens Friday afternoon get together.
